No military experience.
Wonder how the men and women in uniform feel about that?

Rush is saying the next scalp they are hunting for is John Bolton.

Is it amazing how people still believe it's peaches and cream over there?
To: Doctor Raoul
Good point. This prevent the dems from dragging Rumsfeld in front of every committee over the next two years.
To: Coop
Hey Coop, how did that Irey thing turn out. I see we finally got a poll on that race.

All I can say is good riddance.
I'm bound to be called a liberal or a commie, but sorry guys, I really don't think he has done a good job at all.

He is a good choice. His foreign policy views are probably more similar to the people in Bush 41's administration, rather than the people Bush has had in his current administration.
To: TexKat
Gates' involvement in this could make his confirmation difficult.

I am however hopeful about Gates, hope he is confirmed without too much trouble....wishful thinking I know.

No it hasn't. He has to be confirmed by the Senate first.

Too far away to speculate about a Republican nominee.
Doubt it will be McCain.

Call it what you want, but the polls agree, they would have voted for their party had Rummy done this earlier.

LOL! It's everyone's fault...Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, the Bots...everyone's fault but those pouting little prisses who sat out the election or voted third party.
And I'm the King of Norway.
To: mhking
If Bush fired him, why did he wait until after the election?

Im not saying that it's right that they sat at home and did not vote, or that they voted the other way. I'm saying it seems pretty self evident that the results would have been different had Rummy resigned earlier, right or wrong. I'll take a win for the wrong reasons any day.

The fact is, we're taking a loss for all the wrong reasons.
To: CWOJackson
I'm betting Tony Snow is next.....
Even he couldn't spin this election as twistedly as Bush just did...
To: Blue Scourge
I have mixed feelings about Rummy. When we went into Iraq, one of my concerns was the relatively small number of troops we used. The Army with a division was on the left and a Marine Division was on the right. Sure we beat the Iraqui Army, but we didn't overwhelm them. Then we disbanded what was left of the Iraqui Army instead of using them.
