sure, and his proof of that is "conservatives" won - as Democrats.

its nonsense. this implies there is a voting block out there, "stupid conservative leaning independents" - who don't understand the the national Dem party they were voting to empower, are hard core leftists.

He's right. Republicans let themselves be influenced by conservatives who spent several years trying to dictate an agenda that included legislating from the bench, opposing constitutionally protected rights, and so on.

Republicans lost because the country rejected conservatism.
