Because certain people here think the first thing the Democrats are going to do is bring back the fairness doctrine. NEVER going to happen...

Hey, it's what the "real" Conservatives wanted.
They can't whine now about Bolton and Rummy being gone.

Hiya Ras!
My 16 month old is my boss and he won't sleep during Rush or Mark. I kept him up 2 hours late for Rush today (which I may regret) and my hubby will watch him during Levin.
I miss you guys!

Fine. I disagree. I was talking about Rush's opinion on how the President handled the press not policies...and how Rush doesn't personally..in person handle the press. Nothing more..nothing less. My apologies, as I misunderstood. I do think the President seemed tentative, but it's been hard for him. I want him and the country to succeed. Here's to that success!

I agree. It isn't going to happen.
Some people here think the Democrats have such huge majorities that they can pass anything they want including "reeducation camps" for Republicans. (Yes, someone actually said this last night and they were serious.)

Well, it seems the Bush is going to roll over...
Sadly, the early indications are that you are correct.
I hope I am wrong.

Who do you folks think the next wave of conservative leadership will be? Mike Pence? Others?
I think that conservatives are hungry for a REAL candidate and will mobilize behind one - if we can get one!
To: MaestroLC
Bolton's tenure runs out when the next Congress is seated. So unless he is confirmed before then, he is out and there is nothing anyone could do about it. That is how the Constitution governs recess appoitnemtns.

This is Nov. 2006. Life has changed quite a bit since they lost control of the House! I hope they are up to the task. LOL LOL LOL They are not up to the task of finding their behinds with both hands, much less anything more serious.
To: HelloooClareece
Sounds like you have your hands full....look forward to your comeback!

One good thing to come out of this is the President will most likely have more support coming from Republicans now, as well as moderate Democrats.
Every single thing Nancy tries to do will come under close scrutiny, and force the issue into the public domain for discussion.
My one criticism of the Republicans in past is that they went along a little too much with the extremists and didn't allow discussion of differences or dissent.

From what I got out of the speech, he's already waving the white flag.
Very frustrating to listen to, especially on the heals of a lost election.
To: Dont Mention the War
Having to suck up to the left doesn't seem like Snow's thing. Tony's an adult. He took the job knowing the risks. He's also a happy warrior. He's going to help the President and explain the President's position. If it goes beyond something he can stand, then he'll do what he must. But he really LIKES his job...and maybe he'll go for bigger office when the time comes.
