CATO and the Libertarians are here to stay. Get used to it or pack it in. No amount of handwringing will change those facts.

Yes, but it would be helpful if they learned to compromise and didn't act so snippy when things don't go 100% their way.

Yup, you got that right.

Instead of the "GOP" working *with* the Libertarians (& Constitutionalists etc) since they share MUCH more in common than have differences?
The GOP -- apparently -- simply refuses.

So it only seems just the GOP reap the harvest.

...they sow.

I'm in NYS. Voted last night for conservatives I knew would not win. Solid libertarians are are what at one time were probably known as the loyal opposition, which every healthy republic needs. I've got a bit of the libertarian in me too, slightly right of center. Anyway, here's a bump for that loyal opposition. Hoping, of course, that it truly is loyal and truly is a viable opposition.

They will set the agenda, and invite who they want to the party. They are and will be the power brokers. Fail to yield to their overwhelming power and you will be nothing more than refuge in the political landscape.

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

The new libs...as in Libertarians. Here to stay? Since each is an army of one with a political platform of hedonistic self centrism, they will be a total non factor politically as the only thing they support politically is their personal crusade.
