To: gridlock
I thought Steele ran an excellent campaign in Maryland. That is the race that disappoints me most.

I thought so, too. Until I read this thread. Although his ads were slick, and he's a great guy, he never brought up the judge thing, never brought up the tax thing, never talked about defense. Fluff. Soft. Nice. Maybe should have been a tough guy.

Allen, Blackwell, Santorum, Great guys all down the drain with Steele. Damn shame.

Bottom line, Steele lost to a jerk. Ain't hindsight wonnerful?

You may be right. As appealing as Steele was, perhaps a sharper focus on the issues might have helped him.

Oh well. 20/20 hindsight, and all that. I could be we were all just screwed this time 'round.
