Years ago I read a National Geographic that had a logging company find the largest specimen of a tree ever. The company set it off and pointed it out to scientists.
Nowadays, they'd probably cut the tree down the moment they found it, in the name of self preservation.

Its a pretty weird election when California is one of the Republican bright spots.

McNerney, 55, a wind-energy consultant and novelist who is living off a family trust and has never held elected office...In other words, a Democrat.
This race stuns me...as does Melissa Hart's loss AND Rick Santorum's loss and Clay Shaw's defeat.
What a miserable night.
