President Bush is responsible. He should have taken elocution lessons on a daily basis.

There is no reason to get neurotic over this. Bush's speaking skills are far better today than they were when he started campaigning for 2000. And his performance on Rush's show the other day was top notch.

Let this be a lesson for the Republicans on getting too complacent, and for taking their majority for granted. I think Congress can be easily won back in 2008 and the presidency retained, if, we have a true conservative running as a conservative. Conservatism wins everytime it's tried. Meanwhile I will be one of the half billion people tuning in to Rush tomorrow. I listen to his whole show twice a day anyway, but especially more so tomorrow.

How about blaming liberals and fence-sitters for not understanding what's going on in the world?

That was a comment saying that my expectation that the group of people who trash him would be part of the usual moderate crowd was correct. While certainly said in frustration, I don't consider that talking about people behind their backs. Sheesh.

"Our country and certain western states have been invaded and colonized by Mexico"

They voted against Hayworth and Graf. This is a vote for a bipartisan approach to moving Mexico up here. The only house of government to stand against the tide is dissolved. They love it. They want it. Democracy rules. Bush and the Dems will now give us all the illegals we can handle and many more. Learn Spanish. The voters have spoken.

I'll be clear tomorrow when Rush says it to everyone, I guess. It's depressing, but again, as I've been saying, this is the hand that we've been dealt, we have to play it.

1) We won the war in Iraq in a month. Get over it. It's been an occupation and reconstruction ever since, with every jihadi from around the planet coming to wreak havoc. Exacty where we wanted them to go. They have an elected gov't, constitution, oil flowing, a bustling economy and an insurgency/criminal element. We already won the war. Now it takes patience, which the limpwristers do not have. "let's nuke mecca" is for Savage idiots.

2) Token tax cuts? GWB is the biggest tax cutter in modern history, and it is a FACT, not conjecture on my part.

3) Yes, GWB AND the GOP have been bad on illegal Immigration, as has every other single administration back to Eisenhower. ANd the dems??????? MUCH MUCH MUCH worse.

4) IF there is ONE thing you can NEVER accuse Bush of doing is catering to the polls. That is beyond ridiculous.

No, the electionwas not a rejection of conservatism, is was a rejection of Bush by SOME conservatives who have no clue about history, in addition to too many milquetoast candidates.

Anyone who holds the President blameless tonight is delusional. He is every bit as responsible for this massacre as Bill Clinton was in 1994. Somebody on National Review said it best -- the real wake-up call was in 2004, and Bush did not wake up. The voters game him two years to fix Iraq and he didn't. They decided he is a liar and that the Republicans in Congress were just a rubber stamp for him. It's hard to argue with them. They have spoken all across the country, just as they did in 1994.

I'm old enough to have started in politics when you could have Republican meetings in a phone booth. We are still light years ahead of where we were in 1974. This is a setback for the party, but just like the stock market, every party in power needs a correction once in a while. This is ours. The Republic will survive. And if we know one thing, we know Democrats will overreach and will pay the price for it.

Bush would have lost in 2004 if not for those you despise so much.

Not if Bush passes Amnesty.

Well, I agree that Amnesty is the big risk right now.

Well the President is the skipper of the ship, so technically he's got to bear some blame. But IMO this wouldn't have happened had it not been for the ceaseless efforts of the MSM. In a sense, they have been the enemy ship.

No, not tonight; but at least I *have* elected somebody to the White House.

Enjoy tonight; when the GOP realizes you people have drug them too far to the right, it will be your last Election night with fun involved.

I have to think there was a substantial number of so-called conservatives who sat on their hands today.

We have two years to get the conservative movement back on track. Get control of this spending, do something about Iraq, and get control of the borders.

If we can do that, and hold the line on pelosi, then we can win this thing back.

I blame the 'teach them a lesson' crowd.

Or, the the cut-N-run (R) "voters"!

Would be interesting to talking with these spineless hypocritical "no-voters" today!!

But those "holier-than-thou" are probably hiding comfortable on the couch in front of the "drive-by" L.S.M. dumb-tube 100 to 200-lbs overweight!!!

Please, go ahead and steer the party to the Left. Try it out. It will make the GOP irrelevant and ruin years of work by us conservatives. Who will you blame then when the losses keep on coming?
