Another reason to get rid of him is that there won't be someone for the Dims to grill once the investigations begin after Jan. 20.

No way. Have you any idea of the problems getting someone decent confirmed? Rumsfeld stays.

Just how were those extra troop supposed to stop something that happened before they would have been there?

Nope. Time for the GOP to grow a spine and support the Prez.

Heck, why not get rid of Cheney and Rice too?
Have you considered that perhaps Rumsfeld is exactly the guy you want in front of an investigating committee? Pretty articulate fellow, if you haven't noticed.

"Another reason to get rid of him is that there won't be someone for the Dims to grill once the investigations begin after Jan. 20." Nope, they'll just go after whom ever gets appointed or merely block any and all appointments, unless it is "Ashley Wilkes."

Unless you mean killing him there is no reason the rats wouldn't call him on the carpet even if he wasn't SECDEF. The simple fact of the matter is, now that the American public has pulled the carpet from under the feet of our troops, we need a strongman like Rumsfeld more than ever.

"Another reason to get rid of him is that there won't be someone for the Dims to grill once the investigations begin after Jan. 20." I wouldn't worry so much about that. If Rummy is gone, there will be someone else to investigate. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush's daughters are in front of a committee before Bush leaves office.
