The Dems got the House, so they will have to deliver on some of their promises. Things like get out of Iraq, nationalized health care, immigration amnesty, an Equal Rights Amendment of some sort, etc.
Instead of getting any of that, what will happen is this will stiffen some backbones in the Republicans. Republicans in the HOR will block and fight almost anything they try.
McCain and his cabal are weakened, with Dewine and Chaffee gone from the Senate. McCain still has his ambitions, so he will himself have to move to the right to get the nomination. We have to have a strong conservative leader in the Senate.
If the Democrats start doing all these investigations they promised that will guarantee nothing will get done.
All in all, we may actually come out with a stronger hand.
The conservatives turned out for the Republicans, all those moderates the republicans were courting didn't. This is something Republicans should remember.
