"When Americans see Nancy Pelosi as speaker and all those liberals like Barney Frank, Conyers of Michigan, etc. as heads of Congressional committees for the next two years, I'd say election night in 2008 will be a very pleasant experience for the Republican party.

You remind me of Linus telling Charlie browns sister that there really is a great pumpkin. If the republicans dont seperate themselves from the dems and quit following McCainiac/Rove/Bush and the other Rinos then it will be much worse in 08. Conservative values are winning values if they are afraid to act like conservatives then conservatives will see no difference between them and dems.

I can assure you that I don't cling to any blankets.
For the record, I can't stand John McCain or most of the other RINOs. I'm a dyed in the wool conservative, and if you look at many of the democrats who won tonight, many are strong supporters of the 2nd amendment, some are opposed to abortion, etc. .....in other words, many of these democrats are themselves conservatives. If the democrats ran Congress as conservatives, republicans would be screwed. But the committee heads will be mostly ultra liberals. I 100% agree that republicans need to stick to conservative principles, or should I say go back to them.
Stop coddling illegals, rein in spending, stop looking to government as the solution to every problem, etc.

George Will stated that the new Congress will be more conservative than the old Congress. Interesting point.

Define the top 3 conservative values/issues that will win
us 2008.

Not a rhetorical question ... I have a deep-seated fear we conservatives are painted into a corner, but I'd like to get the 'winning issues' defined.
