Republicans are getting spanked because of Bush. He is wishy washy, spends like a liberal, acts like Clinton is his half brother, supports affirmative action, tried to put a liberal on SCOTUS, supports law breaking illegals, and is not serious about the war on terror.
Bush and Rove better wake up and start to figure out if they are conservatives or just wannabes otherwise 2008 is going to be even worse.
The Democrats have run to the right of the Republican candidates in many cases. That is sad.
Bush isnt going to be the candidate in 08. So he wont mean a whole lot.
It'll be a whole new ballgame then. I hope the GOP learnt a lesson from this one and start to get back to Ronald Reagans vision of America.

The current Republican leadership has a lot of faults, but handing things to the Dems, who have even more faults, is not the answer.
It's ironic that the Republicans in the House, the one body that stood against amnesty for illegal alien invaders and was arguably the most conservative part of government, is the body that appears to be smacked the hardest tonight.
The lesson Congress and presidential aspirants will learn from this: Govern like liberals. Spend more. Tax cuts don't matter. Give amnesty to illegal invaders. Surrender to terrorists who kill a shocking two soldiers per day. Appoint likeable judges who have no strong beliefs.
