This is so totally wrong. To defeat a Democrat, you must vote for his opponent. Moreover, his opponent must receive more votes. This is not rocket science.

Apparently it is lost on you though. If a person isn't going to vote for the republican anyway, it makes no difference in the race if he stays home or votes 3rd party. The only way the person would help the democrat is to actually vote for him.

For the 3rd party voters, since they voted for neither democrat or republican, they didn't affect the race.

Many here on FR are confused to the point that they think the rest of the world mirrors FR. Your main goal may be to defeat democrats but to third party voters, there isn't any difference between the GOP and the Dems.

Would you please stop with this? Thanks to voters like you, we got stuck with Bill Clinton. Twice. Don't tell me they didn't affect the race, becuase it's nonsense.

" ...there isn't any difference between the GOP and the Dems."

Well we'll have the next two years to test out your theory and see if its true. My guess is, it isn't.

But it does. Every vote that does not go to the Republican opponent is one less vote that the Democrat needs to win the election. Say you have an election with three people and nine voters. Four vote for the Democrat and three vote for the Republican. The other two decide not to vote, but would vote for the Republican if they did vote. Are you telling us with a straight face that it makes no difference to the outcome if they stay home or vote for the third party candidate?

I Totally agree, blaiming Third party candidates is just a waste of effort.

It is simple, talk to more people about your issues get them excited about your platform and get them to the polls. That wins elections, all else is just noise.
