I fear the remaining Repubs will cave and bring pressure as well. I don't think there are too many fighters left on the Right side of the Aisle.

I know what you mean, but I don't think there will be enough caving GOP congressmen to override any vetoes. If Bush does veto something - or at least threaten and mean it - the congress won't be able to do anything too crazy.
