The Democrats may not screw up the country as bad as some say, Bush still has veto power. We'll see this faux conservatism in action from the Democrats for the next two years. Hopefully in that time we won't get attacked.

I agree with you. While this situation is far from ideal, Clinton and the GOP congress were able to keep each other in check so I would imagine that Bush will be able to as well.

This may be trying to find a silver lining, but this may actually result in Bush and the remaining GOP congressmen acting more conservative on a lot of issues.

If we run a good presidential campaign in 2008, we can regain control.
