I voted straight R... how did we let down the GOP?? Might be the other way around but as far as the Libertarians they DID take crucial votes away from the GOP and they didn't have a chance to win in the first place.

Nobody in the GOP, with select exceptions, let the party down. We got our base to the polls and they overwhelmingly supported our candidates.

My sense is that we lost independents 3:2, and that made the critical difference in many close races. I further believe that Catholics flipped back to the RATS over Iraq (I am Catholic so I can criticize my own). Married suburban women (formerly security Moms) also stupidly voted against their own husband's paycheck because they are tired of Iraq.

If you're going with that track why not just Say the Democrats took your votes, that is just as plausible!

Apparently the Libertarian message got through to those people who voted for the Libertarian guy. Blaming someone for being successful is no way to win votes. (yes they got people to vote for them there fore they succeeded i getting votes.)
