[Does everyone STILL think getting rid of Chaffee was a good idea?]

Yes. I do. And you can take John McCain along for all I care, since I consider them (and a few others, too) to be detrimental to the ideas I support in government: free market economic policy, strict adherence to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, strong and decisive foreign policy and something called integrity.

I don't include being a member of a particular party to be a virtue worth voting for all by itself, simply because it may allow a politician to count himself among the majority, and any politician who says to his constituents "Hey, you'd better give me what I demand in terms of committees, pet project legislation and pork or else I'll sabotage your big plans by voting with the opposition" is a certain liability and good riddance.

I can stomach voting for any "RINO" if that got us over the hump.
