What about the good news in Iraq? What about the fact we are killing thousands of terrorits?

Why focus on the negative? If they did that in WWII we'd have lost after the first year when everything went wrong.

The media didn't want to loose that war. Now the humiliation of America is what they want. They can't forget the euphoria of their role in the Viet Nam conflict, the burning and the riots of that period and the orgasm of Watergate.

Now its going to be all about payback for the Clinton impeachment and the last two "stolen" presidential elections.

It is not enough.
The People do not think we are winning.
They voted us out of power in the House tonight, and maybe the Senate, because of that.
President Bush essentially said 'A Democratic victory is a defeat for America in the War On Terror'.
If that is really true, then the American People just voted for defeat.

Now, we'll see if that's all really true.
I predict that the Democrats will NOT immediately cut the funding for Iraq. They will start talking about timetables.
If the President and his team want to furiously escalate, in order to provide evidence that convinces the American public we've won, it will be a different situation. As it is, "Stay the Course" means defeat, because the American People are not willing to stay this course. They FORCED Bush to change it tonight.
