"I hate to say it, but it's the loss of the ability to communicate a coherent vision, which is responsible.
Ronald Reagan would not have presided over this debacle.
Because even liberals, respected him. Because he stood firmly and without wavering for what was RIGHT."
Santorum did that.
It didn't work.
Ronald Reagan presided over a worse debacle in 1986.
Quote: "Ronald Reagan would not have presided over this debacle. "
Uhh, no offense, but he presided over one worse than this, much worse. He lost the Senate and greatly increased the Democrat majority in the House.
Santorum did that. It didn't work.
I agree with Vicomte13. I think these liberals have multiplied like rabbits (look, they're advocating free sex, and paying for everyone's unplanned family, what do you expect!) and succeeded in brainwashing a couple of generations through the publick screwel system into their liberal mindset, and this is what you get. A clear REJECTION of what is right and good for society, in favor of what is 'expedient' and favors the unrestrained appetites of irresponsible people.
Tonight, America got what she deserved. May God have mercy on her.
Second, we were beat by piss-poor communication in the house and the senate... day after day Pelosi and Reid march out to the cameras and tell the world how horrible GW Bush is and how horrible the war is, and how horrible Rumsfeld is, etc.. and what do we do? We turn the other cheek.
Bill Frist didn't run for relection because he wants to be President. I, for one, would not vote for him because he is a wimp. We can still be Christians, but we damned well better grow a spine... and soon!
You are making too much sense, as usual. Why are you here tonight?
I haven't heard anyone explain why the Republican Senator with the largest victory margin by far is not conservative.
I swear there are people here who would think running Alan Keyes in a primary against Olympia Smowe would be brilliant strategery.
Then there are the people complaining that we lost because they cheated. They sound like a coach complaining that a blown call by an official is the reason the team lost by three touchdowns.
Forget Patton. He's not our model this year. We need the words of my personal favorite Republican General, Joe Stilwell:
"I claim we got a hell of a beating. We got run out of the House and it is humiliating as hell. I think we have to find out what happened, go back and retake it."
