I've been thinking of Spain all day and I honestly believed that when people were in the privacy of the voting booth they would give more thought to our military and the WOT.
Clearly, I was wrong.
This country is dumbing down on so many levels. Although there are numerous college-educated young "intelligent" types, so many of them seem very disconnected with reality and simply "don't get it". And then there are others (of all ages) who fully buy into the MSM hook, line and sinker, believing Iraq has nothing to do with the War on Terrorism, etc.
And the losers in all of this will be the security of our country and of course, the men and women of our military.
The problem is that younger folks don't think this stuff really matters that much. They don't want to join the team . . . either team. They see it as all the same . . . WORTHLESS and MEANINGLESS to them and their lives.

So many people wanted to teach the GOP a lesson (from the left and right) about illegal invasion.
And yet, everyone has let the brownshirt training camps of our local, "independent" school districts just waltz along.
THAT is what will devour us from within.
It will be like Taiwan. Gradual, peaceful reunification.
I'm feeling very disconnected from so many people right now. I feel like disinviting the liberal friends that I have coming for Thanksgiving. Actually, they invited themselves. One friend, I don't think I will be even speaking to, and she didn't even vote. I just can't tolerate the stupidity.
