FOX is absolutely awful tonight. They are calling races left and right even though those races only have 2 or 3 percent reporting. Why the hell even have the election at all if they are just going to declare a winner after counting 2 percent of the votes.
You said it. They've called Nelson over Harris, but refuse to call Crist over Davis even though Crist leads Davis by bigger margins than Nelson over Harris.
once actual voting results start coming in, they compare the ratios there to past voting patterns, and project ahead. so they need just a sampling of precincts to project.
