I agree with you on everything except the last part. Take a look at this thread and you'll see lots of people blaming the loss on us conservatives instead of admitting to themselves that some of the Republicans' attempts to go Left failed big time and cost them this election. There is little introspection going on, and I have little reason to believe that the same won't hold for the Republican Leadership. In other words, if the Republicans were smart, they'd realize that heading Left is a dumb move. However, my faith in their ability to recognize that fact has almost vanished in the past two years.
Here's to hoping you're right though and our Party stops catering to the Left.
In the House, Pence will run for minority leader and Shadegg for Whip. Conservatives. Sounds like they may be coming back.
That's the kind of interpretation and advice that led the Democrats to losses in 2002 and 2004.
