I will say it again.

The Republican old guard stabbed Blackwell in the back.

Taft and Voinovich types refused to help Blackwell.

There was no united Republican effort in Ohio to help Blackwell.

I don't think so.

They had no momentum.

I don't care what they could've done to help Blackwell, the Dems seem to have the intiative and all that.

Ohio isn't a strictly GOP state, nor has it been.

The only real surprise is that it hadn't happened earlier. The Ohio Dems were completely lacking in organization the last couple elections, which is why a complete moron like Taft was elected TWICE. That wasn't true this year.

He would not win running as a Republican in Ohio - maybe last time, but not this time.
He should have taken on Taft in the primary back in 2002.
