Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
[This is still the United States of America. There will be another election in 2008. Then another . . . and another . . . and it goes on. Sometimes we lose. Sometimes good people get run. It's sad, but you pick it up and you move on.]
Damn straight!

Note to Dems. Talent's concession speech is how a self respecting person handles a loss, not whining like a little girl as you guys do. He could drag the people of his state through weeks or months of challenges and recounts, but the man has class, something the Dems only wish they had.
Talent is conceding.
It looks like Burns is probably toast, too.
There were many other factors at work here.
We'd better get our act together .... 24 months isn't very long.
Look, leaving aside the issue that you seem to think that all election results come from state websites in spite of people repeatedly telling you otherwise....
Even JUST LOOKING AT THE MD STATE WEBSITE as it's currently updated, it's obvious Steele lost rather big because it contains no results from Montgomery and Prince George's Counties.
I WILL SHOUT IT TEN THOUSAND TIMES:
THIS SHALL NOT STAND!!!
TRAITORS WILL PAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Please report any errors to Kathleen Ely at kely@mt.gov or (406) 444-1878.

Lighten up!
I won't be watching TV anytime soon. Strictly talk radio, Spongebob Squarepants with the kids, and Free Republic.
If that involves McCain i would rather eat dirt.
But look at their totals at that site you linked, they are way behind in reporting...
http://asp.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2006/StateDetailResultsByState.aspx?sp=MD&oi=S&rti=G&cn=1&tf=l
Shut up already.
Good night! And LOL -- you're right about the infighting.
Then please tell me where the media is getting their numbers. I just don't understand this. If MD's website is crappy, fine, but are you saying the precincts are reporting to the media at the same time as they report to the secty of state, and the secty of state isn't updating anytime remotely close to the arrival of the numbers from the precincts? If so, that's the fault of the secty of state, not a crappy website.
I AM GETTING DRUNK TONIGHT!!! I AM SMASHING THE TV SETS!!!!
TOMORROW, THE FIGHT IS ON!!!!!!!!
