They just re-elected William "$94,000 on ice" Jefferson in LA.
We took a beating for a lot of reasons
History was against us and there was little chance of gains and a good chance of taking a beating as we did.
At least 5 House seats lost due to idiot candidates. (Delay, Foley, Ney, Sweeney, and I know I am forgetting one)
Lost the Ohio senate seat most likely due to Bob Taft and his corruption. DeWine did not help himself by going RINO but I think Taft screwed every statewide Republican running.
More at risk Republican Senate seats were up this time then at risk Democrat seats.
We ran crappy candidates (Harris in Florida, Taylor in TX-17, Burns in MT, etc.) in states and districts we should have won.
All in all, we took far less of a beating this history says we should have.

To all of FR : HANG IN THERE! Yes, tonight is bad....very bad....but life goes on. We can still make a big difference in '08. We've probably lost the Senate for a while given the sheer numbers we'll be defending in '08 coupled with the Mother-of-all-Presidential-Campaigns we're facing, but the difference in the House, while painful, is not that big (as of right now anyway)...we gotta play the cards we're dealt no matter what the hand...

face it, we are running out of states. we can't win senate races in ohio, virginia, missouri. we need a presidential candidate that can win all of those states.

They usually include the CFR, too. First time I ever heard some of those conspiracy theories, as a newbie online, that one just cracked me up.
They listed all these people's names as controlling the world and one of them used to live next door to me and I'd seen him in his underwear!

Come on guys. The most corrupt president in history had an 8 year run and we survived it. Tiny Tom was in charge and we survived that. We are better than those on the other side who would be diving for prozac on their way off the Golden Gate Bridge right now if things were reversed.
Now is not the time for tearing at each other and squabbling in division around our differences. This is the time for coming together on common ground. While it ranges in degree, as conservatives we share an optimistic vision of the future and a positive view of our heritage.
This too shall pass. Leave it to the shriekers on the other side to reveal themselves once again, as they must. I, for one, intend to get up, live my life and vote the next time I get a chance.
And, I will, to the best of my ability, live according the the 11th commandment issued by Ronaldus Maximus. I will not criticize a fellow conservative in public.
DOn't forget all the graft and corruption among the democrats and the MSM buries it on the back pages of the paper or ignores outright. I'm ticked that we never, ever, get an honest playing field.

Bush TRIED to lead, but the Radical Left and the Dem Washington Elites refused to allow it.
The media pushed LIE AFTER LIE, and we couldn't gain traction.
An idiot behind me in line to vote today was telling the guy in front of me that he was voting Dem because "Bush Lied" about Iraq.
We KNOW this is a LIE, we HAVE THE PROOF that this is a lie, and yet the Dem Media Machine has driven this point home so often that it is now an accepted FACT...
VOTE FRAUD has become a Dem Institutional Right, but it's REPUBLICANS that are acused of "Stolen Elections"..
Republicans must grow some stones, AND FAST....
I think Mitt Romney might be the guy.
