I'm done with all FNC programming now.

Me too. I only watched them marginally since their Katrina coverage anyway. Enough.

I make that vow also. I will not watch any network news. If Fox returns to fair and balanced... I'll think about it. Good night ov. See you in the morning.

The religious republicans lost it, the fiscal ones won.

Surely you jest. Chaffee, Burns, DeWine, etc., etc., are "religious Republicans"?

Republicans of every stripe lost tonight.

And whilst a defeat, it is hardly a "bloodbath".

So totally agree. Come on folks, pull it together. We're still a powerful force in both Houses of Congress, not to mention the WH.

I hope our Party takes this as an opportunity to force the Rats to show their true colors so the American people can once and for all send the Rats to the dustbin of political history in 2008.

Everyone needs to engage in some healthy fist pounding and a good night's sleep. --- But, then let's reconvene and turn this defeat in ONE battle into a decisive win of the war!

All liberal MSM is where a lot of people get their news and information. What people read, see and hear all the time affects them, it's a law of nature.

Fox is talking about a 40 seat pickup for dems at least mid 30's. All those people talking about us getting it back in 08 better think again, it will take multiple cycles to pick it up, if ever?

They've won the House and may win the Senate. They kicked our asses. What should they do - fold their arms and cry? They won - big time. We lost, big time. No need to whitewash or spin it. The sun will still rise tomorrow. We had a good run and got some things done and failed in others. The American public is polarized on both ends and squishy in the middle. Which way that squishy middle goes every 2, 4, and 6 years makes all the difference. This time they tired of hearing of war, corruption and perversion. Fair or not, this is what they heard and they punished those they held responsible.

Well said.

"Owning both houses of Congress is an anomoly."

Ahh Until 94 Both Houses were in Rat control most of the 50s 60s 70s and 80s, that is a fairly LONG anomaly

I still see Allen ahead by less than 2000 with 99.18% of the vote.

They're counting the absentee ballots now.

.......and yet we continue to watch them!!....tomorrow I guarantee that 90% of all of you will reward the local networks with your patronage!!

I believe just the opposite will happen. If a lot of people feel the way I do right now, they've had just about enough of the media and will be completely turned off to it. It's payback time. The rats couldn't have won without their help. DON'T WATCH. Rent a movie, go to the gym, work on a project....Life's too short.

I sure hope so!! The TV is on it's way out of here!!!

I heard figures before saying in some races over a quarter of Republicans and conservatives voted Democrat, like in Ohio?! Are these people out of their minds? They are the ones who cost us control of Congress and now we have to suffer the damage the far left leadership will impose on this country. I am hopeful America will manage to survive and thrive, but my outlook is not too positive at the moment.

Nope, Allen up by .07% with .9% left.

I think that CNN/AP/WashPost may have "accidentally" inverted the results being reported on the Virginia state website for the Allen race.

Here are the results reported by the lamestream media:

Va. U.S. Senate Results (KEY RACE)
Candidate Votes %
Jim Webb (D) 1,141,052 50%
George Allen * (R) 1,138,676 49%
Glenda Parker (IG) 25,512 1%
Key: * Incumbent | Winner
Precincts: 99% | Updated: 11:57 PM ET | Source: AP

Here are the current results from Virginia's website:

Precincts Reporting: 2423 of 2443 (99.18%)
Registered Voters: 4,555,672 Total Voting: 2,309,512 Voter Turnout: 50.70 %

J H Webb Jr Democratic 1,139,885 49.36%
G G Parker Independent Green 25,604 1.11%
Write Ins 2,270 0.10%

I respectfully disagree. I don't think the Dems are going to go on a tear of loony lefty legislation. They're going to "talk moderate" and bash Bush. Their biggest problem will be the net nutjobs. But even they will fall in line in hopes of creating a governing majority (which they may very well do).

Well ... you have more faith in the Dems then I do

They are known to say one thing and do another

You just waiting .. we are going to have all kinds of hearings

And they will block any chance on any future conservative judges
