He got a 100% rating from Christian Coalition for his votes and has been staunchly Pro-life. You don't get that by being a liberal. As to being neutral to Bush, I haven't agreed 100% with Bush on everything (dang near most things though). Perhaps Dewine voted for his own held principles?

"Move to Texas, we have plenty of room and we are RED RED RED"

You may be a big state, but Georgia is what I call a red state.

This is a conservative state. Thinking of Zell Miller right now, who was more conservative than most GOPers.

"It is the moderates who are responsible for tonight's loss"

Let's put this in perspective. Moderate Republicans are the ones support spending like drunken sailors "to appease the left and independents". It's the moderates who want shamnesty, even though that polls like a dead pidgeon. It's the moderates who knife Rummy and even Bush when they get the chance. And when conservatives stiffen up and force Alito over Harriet Miers, it's not the conservatives who made a mistake.

Barone just said he expects the lead for Allen to go all the way down to 0. Probably a recount.

Why would impeachment be political suicide? The war is completely unpopular, the government is HUGE, and Bush governs like a RINO. He seems incapable of defending his positions on anything. Who would come to his defense when it would be so easy to just leave him hanging out to dry? The media will kill him.

Because we spent years chewing on Bill Clinton's head when we should have been promoting conservatism. We turned off the "Reagan Democrats" who elected us by impeaching Bill Clinton instead of concentrating on what we said we would.

Democrats are welcome to take the same road, and I think their hatred for Bush is so deep that they will be unable to stifle it to govern effectively. They will turn off those same people.

Kentucky House race going to the Republican Lewis.

Kentucky again, (R) Davis beating Lucas.

Godspeed to your nephew and all our men and women in the military.

The next time there's an attack in this country they should just put down their arms and tell the Democrats and media to defend the country.

Maryland.

According to WBAL website, O'Malley up by 52%, Cardin up by 50% and both now the projected winners. I guess precincts in Baltimore City (alternatively known as Night of the Living Dead) are now reporting

Looks like we in MD will probably have the "Boy" Gov, Senator Milktoast Cardin, a Communist as Comptroller, a Dem Attorney Gen and can you say Speaker of the House Nancy Polsi? Hold on to your wallet and your rights and prepare yourself because I see President Hillary is right around the corner.

The only bright spot is Harford (God's Country) County where I live, will probably elect all GOP to the MD House - but little good that does.

I'm going on Monster.com first thing in the morning looking for jobs in Charleston SC! Hell I like warm weather and play golf and I might have to look for a new job soon anyway - I'll find out more on that tomorrow.

Anyone have any leads on jobs in a Red Friendly State? I’ll send you my resume because me thinks Maryland is now toast.

"Barone on Fox is saying Webb will win....eventually"

What he actually said was that Allen's win could shrink down to zero and we could be looking at a recount.

The young people have been let down. They are the one joining the military to fight this war and the so called grown ups have pulled the rug out from under them. Terrorist are smiling all around the world.

THAT is the real disaster tonight. This election result in the House will be interpreted as a rejection of Iraq policy. Nancy's Pelosi's House might well vote to cut funds and force the troops home early, ending our role as hyperpower and weakening the world in general. We will be perceived as having lost again, just like Vietnam, and the 'Rats and the media will dance on the graves of our brave celebrating our nation's alleged defeat and humiliation. The Sixties Hippies have won this round, and our children will pay the price.

Yes, but basically none of St. Louis, St. Louis County, or Kansas City has reported. Makes me nervous.

Do you honestly believe Iraq appreciates our sacrifice?

OMG! YES! Quit drinking the msm kool aid and learn a little about what is actually happening in that country.

The majority of Iraqis are not our enemies and know EXACTLY what we have sacrificed for them. How dare you demean the folks who are losing their lives alongside our fighting men and women, frankly. How DARE you.

"If you think having U.S. troops in Iraq has done much of anything to prevent terrorist attacks here in the U.S., you're delusional."

Once the troops are removed from Iraq, and Iran and the terrorists use it to stage their attacks on the M.E. oil fields, and once the fighting is in our streets, not Baghdad's, perhaps you will see things differently.

Now Fox news is talking about recounts already - another month to find out who's in charge of the Senate.

It's deja vu all over again.....
