"Why do I still live here?"

LOL! Because you are a Red Socks fan and refuse to desert them until they break the Babe Ruth curse? Na, that's been done.

Incorrect. The seat in question now was held by Chuck Robb for 12 years prior to Allen capturing it.

Virginia has gone to the Republican Presidential candidate in every election going all the way back to 1968. Local elections are a little bit different, but the name George Allen carries a lot of weight around here, and he's hanging on by his fingernails to a guy who barely even discussed issues at all.

I'm telling you that before too long, the days of Virginia being generally reliable for the Republicans are going to be over if some things don't change. It isn't something that I'm looking forward to, but the leadership leads to start listening and paying attention to what the heck is going on in this country.

Santorum has just given his concession speech. It was a wonderful speech. He is such a class act. No bitterness...just gratitude for his life so far.

I wish him and his family a beautiful and prosperous future, no matter what he chooses to do.

I'm considering leaving MA, but my one hope is that, with me being in the western part of the state, Boston continues to ignore us ...

I swear, I expect to see a big tower and Sauron's Eye sitting there whenever I have to drive into Boston ...

Too many people were disheartened this election, knowing their individual votes wouldn't matter much in this state ... I convinced a few people to actually vote today, but polls are closed now, so there's not much more I can do but see what happens.

It's great in MA when people blame Romney/Healey for everything wrong in the state, and don't bother blaming the supermajority of Dems in the state legislature ... who could override anything Romney/Healey did whenever they wanted ...

I'd like to stay, be the lone sane voice in the wilderness in MA, but I know at some point, when I'm the last Republican voter left, I'll be the one getting blamed for everything the Democrats do wrong ...

"ATTENTION: All Conservative bashers. Conservatives showed up. It's the precious unreliable moderates that seem to have sat this one out. So if you want to blast anyone, thank the ungrateful pack of Republican Moderates the GOP catered to the past two years. Don't believe me? Check out what races are going down. It ain't the conservative strongholds by and large, it's the wimpish Lib Mod districts."

BINGO. Beautiful post!

He has major issues from his imprisonment in Vietnam, and who wouldn't. But he clearly doesn't have the temperment to be president. Also, he's ugly.

Also his health problems are worse than is known. He would not survive his first term.
