Oh please. These are a bunch of old time Freepers asking for a live thread. Lighten up and give it up to the base here. A live thread is going to work just fine. So sit down please. BTW, I think it's unseemly that you, an unknown ADMIN, has reduced a bunch of rambuctious Freepers to asking w/their hats in their hands: "Can we have a live thread, please".
Sheesh.

that's what I am hearing on wabc radio.

I'll be watching the threads by state. For me, that's the quickets way to see what is going on in a particular area of interest.
Others feel differently and that's fine by me. No sacred cow or holy writ (IMHO) on this.

You, being the master of the live threads, may have the skills to follow or ignore parts of a live thread, but finding specific information buried in a thread several thousand psots long is damn tough, especially when i am trying to run a famly too. The breakup with several states is a nice way to run it. It'still hard, but not impossible like your mega-live threads.

Early returns --- Corker leads Ford by about 6% with 5% in ..... Kean leads Menendez by 13% but only 2% in.

Duval Patrick in MA declared in, with 0% reported. That's another thing I don't like about election coverage by the media. They call the winners the moment the polls close or when 1 precinct reports

One live thread isn't going to work, this isn't a presidential election. There are several threads in breaking news that might work. If you all have a better idea, let us know. Folks are interested in their specific state, and we're not about to have 50 breaking news threads. How about 6 threads :
Northeast
South
Midwest
Northwest
Southwest
Alaska & Hawaii
With each regional thread containing links just to threads for each state within that region that aren't listed in breaking news.

Close races this year, for the most part. Off to make a cup of tea so I can stay awake.
