When the newspapers shut down for the strike, the few subscribers left will look elsewhere for news, cancel their subscriptions and let the papers die. The employees will have to find honest, gainful employment. Everybody wins!
I don't think the turds are worth %70 of what they get now. Maybe give them %5 of what they get and that would be about right.

A few years ago I stopped a bank robbery and was responsible for the three that did the deed gotting caught and sent to jail.
Every local news organization had it all completely wrong. Not even close.
And they all interviewed me too. Still Wrong wrong wrong. I'll never even speak to another "reporter".
When I first got on the WWW, the Mercury was THE paper to read, and it was that way for many years.
Then they wrote and published that series of articles alleging the CIA dumped tons (tons!!!!) of heroin and cocaine into black communities. And when they were challenged, did not come up with a jot of evidence to back up their accusations.
It was the end of them. I won't miss them.
