ChumpLine excerpts transcribed:

"Howie BLANKED Barney Frank?"

"#1 song in Plymouth MA: "I love coffee, I love tea"
(coffee thrown at 17 yr old girl-- Dunkin' employee)
"Mistah Speakah we must do away with the sales tax.
How many more must be splashed with this hot liquid?"

"'Did I do the introduction?' Are you having a senior moment?"

"Hey Fatboy--I'm not blaming Christy for this mess,
I'm blaming you. You had to spend the last 4 years
making fun of 'Muffy'..."

(Ironically enough on TV this afternoon the TV cartoon
'Arthur' had the aardvark running for some kind of office
against a schoolgirl named Muffy. Seriously!)

"I guess you'll say, who'll vote for Deval anyway,
Moonbats (moonbats, moonbats)" (tune of "My Girl")

"It ain't over till Muffy sings"

HC on Sean Healey: "If my wife had just spent almost $11 million to be mired in the low 30s of the polls, I wouldn't be smiling!"

"I voted for a black man: Jack E. Robinson. Who said
Republicans are racist?"

"Why couldn't Jack E. have run against Barney Frank instead?"--Howie

Today on "Arthur" (via wgbh.org)
"Arthur

The Election/Francine Goes to War

The Election

"I, Muffy Crosswire, do solemnly swear to uphold the office of the president of the United States..." Actually, it's only a mock election in Mr. Ratburn's class, but Muffy is taking it seriously. How far will she go to win?

If you'd like a refreshing break from all this election talk, try Googling "Sarah Underwood" with the safe search feature off. Make sure the wife and kids aren't looking over your shoulder.

Well, Deval is a bit of a ham, and I expect the folks in Mass will be "spread" a lot thinner soon enough.

Election music:

Bluesman Sunnyland Slim: "Be careful how you vote, on
every Election Day..."

Simon & Garfunkle: "Goin' to the candidates debate/
Laugh about it shout it about it, when you've got to
choose/ Every way you look at it you lose"

War: "I'd kind of like to be the President/ So I can
tell you how your money's spent/Why can't we be friends..."

The Delegates, "Convention '72" (I think it was a cut-up
record, like a Dickie Goodman song...

Paul Simon: "And if I was the President, and the Congress
would call my name. I'd say now, who do, who do you think
you're foolin'. I got the Presidential seal. i'm up on the
Presidential podium, my mama loves me" (Loves Me Like a Rock)

My voting day in downtown Boston:
Walked outside and saw that the Hynes Convention Center was festooned with Deval Patrick signs, inside and out. Not one other type of sign. The Hynes is city property...is this legal?
On the way to the Boston Public Library to vote was accosted by four so called homeless people asking me for money.
Outside the library about 20 people holding Deval signs. Most were 20 year olds.
Inside the library signs in a number of languages showing us where to vote. The ballot had two Republicans. Mostly Rainbow / Green party people running against the Dems. In many cases the Dems totally unopposed. My ballot was in both Spanish and English.
By the time I left the number of Deval sign holders had grown into a sea of moonbats all waving their signs. I'd have sworn a number of the sign holders were physically aroused by this.
There was some very odd group of high school kids marching around and chanting not far from the library. Part of the chant was ' OJ '. I have no idea what that was all about.

Add me to the Howie list as well. I call in every once in a while on my way home to scenic NH. Sandy knows me by now. I went to the 25th anniversay party WRKO had and met Howie, Sandy, and Scotto... I asked Howie if he was thinking of moving to NH if Deval won and he said it would be Florida...

For those that have not hear Howie, go to www.wrko.com and listen from 3 - 7 EST. Check out his sites: http://www.howiecarr.com as well as Howie's tribute to John Kerry at http://www.Liveshot.cc and Ted Kennedy at http://www.Fatboy.cc

If you liked the movie The Departed, read the real story in Howie's book "The Brothers Bulger" which includes the other half of the crime family, Billy Bulger, the head of the state senate and the most powerful guy in MA politics for over 20 years while his brother Whitey was heading up organized crime in Boston....
