speech about to start

NH may lose both Cong. seats to the 'Rats--isn't Bradley
losing too? not sure though

Howie is calling in to WRKO now.

"Hey Scott (Brown), aren't you glad you didn't get picked as the running mate?"

Reaction from Howie: "I don't think anything is too out of line from what we were predicting. I was a little surprised
Chafee lost. Ted Sarandis--with 32 per cent of the vote,
he's in dead last...he thought he had a chance. It's pretty much routine. ...What the heck was Mitt Romney doing there?
And when Mitt said she didn't get much time in the limelight--well whose fault is that, Mitt? I haven't been
impressed with Mitt the last few months."

Todd F.: "Well, what we see with Mitt is he's always out
for Mitt."

Howie: "Well he's just like Deval, then..."

I'm using the Foxnews tracker for the national races, but is there a better one for some of the smaller MA races?

Ch 38 has a crawl with MA results--House and Senate. Do you
mean the constitutional offices? All incumbents got back in
(Galvin, Cahill, DeNucci)...I think all the Reps easily
won (Olver, Lynch, Tierney et al)

Try NECN too
maybe even websites for Boston TV stations

FoxNews says Dems need 1 more gain to gain control of House, but they feel they probably will get it...and on CNN they project Dems will indeed control the House. Both networks say Dems need to pick up 3 to control Senate...the VA race
very close.

well if anyone, myself included, has any news or comments
to give on the results in New England or nationwide, go
right ahead...otherwise see ya tomorrow on the Carr thread
(I'll continue to watch the TV coverage, etc. Some close
races: MD Sen, VA Sen etc.)

Thanks, I was just curious about how the rest of my Republican slate did, and how the questions did.

I was just looking at some numbers, hoping they might make me feel better.

As of Oct. 2004, from http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleenr/enridx.htm, there were 532,319 Registered Republicans in MA.

So, even with just 78% reporting, and Healey at 605,082, it looks like everyone who had the stones to register Republican in MA, voted for the Healey. That's encouraging from a GOTV perspective.

So far, that's about the only good thing I see. We can be proud our Republicans are hard core (and probably soon to be gone, LOL).

On the other hand, the fact that the Green Rainbow whackjobs had 9,509 registered voters, but Sweathog Ross got 32,428 votes is really scary. That's a lot of delusional nutcases out there. I mean crazier than the moonbats that voted for the Devil.

I'd like to pick Manic Mihos as the sole scapegoat, but it doesn't look like his 125,976 votes wouldn't have put us over the top, or even made it close.

As it stands, I think I'm going to split the blame evenly between Mihos, Howie, with Mitt tossed in for good measure (after reading johnthebaptistmoore's analysis on the MA state board).

Oh, please don't nitpick my numbers, I'm tired and didn't do any heavy lifting with them. By all means, feel free to throw you own out there.

I may not go to sleep for a while, but I'm off to get horizontal, with a stop for ice cream on the way to the bed.

Can you believe that?? If anything from tonight says more about our state I do not know what it is. That question was a matter of fair business practices. Some grocery stores can sell wine, some can not. Heck, some grocery stores operate full liquor stores inside.
Massachusetts is the ultimate nanny state.
What a damned shame.

Is NH becoming Massachusetts Lite? Gov Lynch re-elected and both Cong seats apparently going to 'Rats--Hodes beats
Bass, and I guess Shea-Porter or whatever her name is
wins narrowly over Bradley (there was some kind of
victory speech on Ch 9...I could be wrong...)

oops, and there it is. Shea-Porter wins (per Fox news).
Majority plus 1 for the Dems.

Looks like the House is gone.
I still can not believe it.
Channel 7 just stopped their coverage of the races. More shots of Deval. I cant imagine what the state of our state will look like in four years. What the hell are the voters here thinking: yes we want more taxes, yes please - more liberal judges appointed and no thanks, we'd rather not vote on gay marriage even though enough signatures were gathered.
