LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A poll worker was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault and interfering with an election for allegedly choking a voter and pushing the voter out the door, an official said.
Election officials called police, and the voter wanted to file charges, said Paula McCraney, a spokeswoman for the Jefferson County Clerk.

Notice how the story is worded to use no "him's" or "she's"--my guess is that this is an assault on a woman Republican.

In 2003 this county tried to bar Republican observers. What election did you have in 2003?
To: HOTTIEBOY
Absolutely right....the assailant was a RAT and the victim was the Republican. Omission of party affiliation on CNN is a sure sign.

I thought the BIG GAME (Louisville vs Rutgers) was on Thursday. Perhaps some people in Louisville started early?
I look forward to seeing a really good game!

BTW, my father went to Rutgers...SCARLET KNIGHTS, BABY!!! I'm stuck in UConn country--my in-laws even got me season tickets for this year's football season.
Suffice to say, I've secretly enjoyed watching every single home loss that they've suffered.
GO ORANGEMEN! Er...GO ORANGE!

I figured it was either a typo or a local election.

My party affiliation is a source of conversation at my local precinct. The poll workers say, "Hey a Republican" Apparently I'm one of the few registered Republicans in the area. I say nothing.

OMG... Nov 18, huh? Can they do it? CAN THEY DO IT? Even though I only spent the first 12 years of my life in Columbus, I still can't stand the smug looks on the Michigan fans I run into on occasion (when talking college football, of course).
With all these dead people voting, maybe we could resurrect Woody. Maybe we could even have him clobber a few froggy Dem poll workers...
Hope all goes well!

I'd be interested to know the party affiliation of both the voter and the poll worker, and if they knew each other.
I worked the polls in Kentucky(Anderson)for several years in a predominantly Democrat county, I am a Republican, and I refused to work this year because of Democrats doing their best to harass and cause problems for me. They are rabid when it comes to trying to get what they want, that is for sure.
