Take a look at independent voters. There are more of them than before, especially in the West. More than 25 percent of Arizona voters now register as independent or third-party voters. And according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, they've shifted sharply toward the Democrats in this fall's elections.

BTW...I noted that Chucky Schumer wants to further expand the $1.2 trillion Medicare expansion the President and Republican Congress gave us in 2003...he should find much support among the Democrat Congress and our "compassionate conservative" President
And did you see how excited the President got at his press conference when told that he may now have support in Congress for his illegal alien amnesty program....I mean...comprehensive immigration reform?
In all the years the Democrats were in power they always "took care" of their factions. Not every faction got all that they wanted - but they all got something.
The Liberty voter's interests have a vanishingly small place in the Rove "base".
