Take a look at independent voters. There are more of them than before, especially in the West. More than 25 percent of Arizona voters now register as independent or third-party voters. And according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, they've shifted sharply toward the Democrats in this fall's elections.

if by 'it' you mean the levers of power, then ok. :p
Haven't these people ever heard of primaries?
If they hate the pubbie candidates so much, they should have gone out and did some groundwork for people who didn't suck.
IMHO. ;)
I think that just might well nail your problem with LP-101. You really need to get out and look at your little "l" compatriots; you're totally out of step with them. They seem to think that this election is some sort of victory (they haven't figured out that they are not immune from Democrat laws and taxes) and seem to believe they've taught the GOP some sort of lesson.
They have taught conservative America a lesson...they are not our allies.
Actually, it's more like this:
They have taught sent conservative Republican America a lesson message...they are not our allies to be taken for granted.
There. I corrected it for you.
The results are the same and DO NOT advance conservative principles in the slightest. Yet we're told we should embrace Libertarians as being on our side.
LOL! I'm sure our troops are grateful for your support and sacrifice.
I voted a straight "R" ticket yesterday, bub. Don't snicker at me about support and sacrifice.
Sure you did...every high fiving Libertarian on FreeRepublic today is spending half their time claiming the Republicans lost because they didn't bow down to the LP and the other half their time claiming they voted straight "R" yesterday.
I'm assuming that you're talking about Neil Boortz. While I normally respect him, I think what he did was extremely stupid. However, he doesn't speak for the majority of libertarians. Take a look at everything JimRob has done over the last several months in an effort to get Republicans elected. That's how we roll in the RLC. Change from within.
They have taught conservative America a lesson...they are not our allies.
With all that you know about us, do you think folks like Jim and I are assets or liabilities to conservatism, in general? I'm not talking about other people who might call themselves "libertarians", I'm talking strictly Republican Liberty Caucus members.
And if you insist on calling me a liar, this conversation will be over.
Now you're lying. Name one single freeper who supports the platform of the Libertarian Party.
You folks should start a drill team...I'd love to watch the circular firing squad.
Just read it. I have no argument with any of what's there. I'm a social conservative, though, so for me a few hot-button issues aren't addressed. I want the right to life of the unborn and the aged and infirm safeguarded and traditionl marriage defended.
So you're saying you don't believe I voted Republican yesterday, when I plainly asserted that I did?
1) For a long time now Mr. Robinson has been saying that voting for anyone but Republicans is foolish, and 2) there are a lot of people claiming to be Libertarians/libertarians posting in the general FR forum, not in the RLC, about how they voted for the "conservative" candidate not the Republican, or how they taught the GOP a lesson, or that now the GOP can't take them for granted.
They are the voice of the LP/lp on FR.
I wonder what kind of lesson that is?
Frankly, I would have thought better of you if you had called me a liar.
Good day. No need for reply.
LOL! You folks are a hoot. Ask yourself this, why don't you call yourself little "r" Republicans?
As for your much valued RLC...have you checked it out lately? I see two posts for today, neither of them yours. The post previous to that is a thread from two years ago and is nothing but more of the you can't tell the DNC from the RNC BS.
As for your folks, or those folks who claim to be your folks, supporting the LP platform...it's their support of the DNC platform that is in play.
I guess you're deluded in far more then simply politics.
Thank you for taking the time and intellectual integerity to look at it.
I want the right to life of the unborn and the aged and infirm safeguarded
I am staunchly pro-life myself. In my opinion, abortion is murder and violates the libertarian tenet of not initiating force against citizens.
traditionl marriage defended
We may disagree here. I feel that government should not be involved in marriage one way or the other. The sacrament of marriage should be between a couple and the Lord.
Knowing what you now do about the RLC and my personal thoughts, would you say that the other poster on this thread is just a little bit out of line when he claimms there is no place for folks like me in the conservative movement, especially now that the stakes have become so much higher?
