In our brave new schools, Johnny can't say the pledge, but he can recite the Quran. Yup, the same court that found the phrase "under God" unconstitutional now endorses Islamic catechism in public school.Good grief...is that true? Where is this allowed?

I believe (and hope to goodness I'm right) that nothing would prevent students from choosing to say the pledge and/or pray - the restriction is on teacher's leading it.
I don't agree that the constitution intended to limit teacher's religious expression but I think that's the way the rulings stand at present.
