I hate the heavy handed censorship that pops up here way too frequently. The whole point of an Internet message board is too share and read unfiltered information. Don't post exit polls - how disappointing.

I heartily agree. I think it is silly to ignore what is out there because we fear that some freeper might sit on his butt instead of voting because CBSNBCABCNYTWP tells them all is lost.

We should laugh at the exit polls, not fear them. I am disappointed.

It's not the freeper we are concerned with, it's the marginal voter and the millions of lurkers. We're not just any discussion board. Our reach is enormous. For many, we are their main source for news.

If a bad exit poll discourages even 1% from voting, that could be enough to swing an election. It happened in 2004. Thanks for your understanding.

Just to clarify I did not write the part about this being censorship. I only posted the suggestion that if mcjordansc felt that way he could suggest another site where the data was available if Freepers want it.

I'm perfectly willing to tease the mods (heck its practically a tradition :) ) but this is a serious decision and I'm sure they didn't make it lightly. If they want to avoid posting exit polls I respect that.
