From 1973-2003 the best senator in Washington was Jesse Helms. No one has yet stepped forward to take his place.
Amen. I remember sending a contribution to his reelection in 1990, when I lived in NJ. I called his DC office the day after election day to offer my congratulations because I was so sick of NJ liberalism.
