I'll admit that I didn't "get it" until I saw a picture of the Iwo Jima flag raising underneath a picture of the building. DOH! Art, fart, whatever, it's impressive. Kinda like Marines powered by MRE's.
Now I understand why I'm having difficulty getting a hotel in DC in my usual spots! I hadn't realized the dedication was this weekend. I'll have to plan to see the museum on my next trip as the MCH website indicates that the museum doesn't open to the (non-ticket-holding) public until Monday Nov 13. Take lots of pictures!
