I saw Segolene Royal on the French news tonight. She is the un-Hillary ..polished, articulate, smart. No less a hard core Leftist than her French counterpart.
Sego would lead France into an abyss ten times worse than that described in the above article. Totally unprepared to deal with the reality of Islamists on the march.

Well, she is polished but she's had her missteps. She got booed at a Socialist Party meeting a couple of weeks ago and didn't handle it well. There was another incident where she made some type of snippy remark to a Socialist Party worker and had to apologize for it. (I don't remember the details, but my husband will.)
I find it funny that the only person I've talked to here that admits to supporting her is an American. He says Sarkozy "scares" him. He hates George Bush with a passion, though, so that gives you his political leaning.
