It's all very well and good to bitch about the Republicans in the Summertime and early Fall. But now it is time to walk into the voting booth and pull the lever. This returning to normalcy of the generic ballot is very, very good news. It shows that people have started to look at whom they are going to vote for, and just can't pull a lever for the (D), even if they are PO'ed at the President.
My prediction is that there are still a lot of people lying to the pollsters. The majority of votes cast on Tuesday will be for Republicans. How that thrashes out in the numbers is anybody's guess, but I am still predicting a gain of 2 and 4 in the Senate and House, respectively.
For the first time ever I was polled by telephone. I told them that I am a Republican who is fed up with the party and am voting dumbocrat this time. I just love the thought that my response will be counted because that's what the pollsters want to hear. On Tuesday I will pull the Republican lever.
It is going to be real close in my district, NM 01 where this really dumb dumbocrat, Patsy Madrid, is running against Heather Wilson.
Go Heather!
I'm on some pollsters list, and I get called two or three times in an election season. I make it a point to give very conservative answers and identify myself as a raving moonbat liberal.
"The GOP will pick up at least TWO seats in the Senate and FOUR seats in the House in 2006"
Got any money you want to wager on that one?
