Howie Dean and his fellow Demaogogues are lying as usual - they (most of them) have been dragged kicking and screaming through every step of the policies that brought this result. Also, most of them (if they were honest) would openly side with the bogus UN official who has called for Iraq to commute Saddams' death sentence to a prison term.

btw, that would be a great question to try to force upon all liberals who oppose the death penalty: "Do you agree with the call of a leading UN official for Iraq's government to commute Saddam's death sentence?" If not, WHY NOT? Every sanctimonious lib who sneers at the death penalty and sneers at Bush's Iraq policies should be forced to say now, in public, before the elections on Tuesday, whether or not they agree with the death penalty for Saddam!!! No weaseling out by saying "that's for the Iraqis to decide" - an Iraqi court HAS decided, and now, assuming no changes on appeal, Saddam WILL be executed at last. The question to put US liberals on the spot and force them to defend their beliefs honestly is, can the death penatly for Saddam be morally justified? It's a good "weasel test".....
