Protesters against Lieberman jailed

(Hartford-AP, November 5, 2006 8:45 AM)_ Three of the four youths who are accused of disrupting Senator Joe Lieberman's campaign event Friday in Hartford with an obscenity-laced serenade remained in jail yesterday.

Hans Wendlandt and Michael Kirsch, both of Brookline, Massachusetts, and Jonathan Stewart of Oakland, California, were held on one thousand-500 dollars bail.

They were charged with interfering with police, breach of peace and resisting arrest.

Myles Robinson, also of Brookline, was charged with breach of peace and was released on a promise to appear in court.

A spokeswoman for the political action committee of the perennial presidential candidate, Lyndon LaRouche, says the four followers of Larouche wanted to call attention to their belief that free speech is suppressed on U.S. campuses.

The protesters also are accused of throwing fliers at Lieberman and his supporters as Lieberman stopped at a Spanish market in Hartford.

LaRouche singers heckled Lieberman during a debate last week and again Thursday night in downtown Hartford.

These aren't even liberals, they're even worse (though fewer). Larooshies are certified nutcase Koolaid drinkers. The thread failed to mention what they disagreed with Lieberman about.

Go get another tattoo guys, or do something else productive with your time.

You're headed for a life in the back kitchens of fast food outlets anyway. Learn Spanish so you can understand your shift supervisor.

Hans Wendlandt and Michael Kirsch, both of Brookline, Massachusetts, and Jonathan Stewart of Oakland, California,

Once again, liberals bring in outsiders to stir things up. Can't find locals to be upset over their issues.

Like Whiffenpoofs from Hell, the followers of Lyndon H. LaRouche surrounded Lieberman at a campaign stop, harassing him in harmony.

One of the protestors, Stewart, is from Oakland, across the Bay of San Francisco. The two locations face each other, across water, very clearly.

I hope that Lieberman understands that he's been deserted completely by his party, and that the Democrat well has been poisoned, as far as he is concerned. There's no room in the party for a moderate such as he. He would be welcomed in the Republican fold. He'd be a better RINO than some that we currently have in the party.

Ah--Roushies. It's interesting that they're from such liberal states.

I came across a FReeper once who, in a frantic search to find something on the 'net supporting his argument, posted some Larouche material. It was quite funny, although he didn't get it.

He was at a restaurant called Mayor Mike's for only 15 minutes before Larouche followers drove him out.

I hope that Lieberman understands that he's been deserted completely by his party, and that the Democrat well has been poisoned, as far as he is concerned.

His ties to the Democrat party are stronger than you realize. He is still a registered Democrat. Democrats are donating money to his campaign Lamont Gets Little From Senate Dems

"Lieberman, a three-term incumbent, is highly regarded in Washington circles, and his campaign finance report showed his Democratic donor base remains eager to give him money.

The Democrats still want to be associated with him. Another quote from the same article:

"Democrats know they can't afford to alienate Lieberman," said political analyst Jennifer Duffy, not only because they want his cooperation on legislation if he wins, but because of the potential that Democrats will win Senate control next month by a 51-49 majority.

A vote for Lieberman is a vote for Democrats to take control of Congress.

LaRouche's imprisonment was protested by public figures from around the world, and former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark charged that his case "involves a broader range of deliberate and systematic misconduct and abuse of power over a longer period of time in an effort to destroy a political movement and leader, than any other federal prosecution in my time or to my knowledge."

'nuff said.

There used to be a brown Chevy Suburban with a loudspeaker on its roof that used to drive around in the Chicago Loop, à la The Blues Brothers, broadcasting Larouche talking points. I used to enjoy taunting them . . . "Hey! Tell me about the Queen of England and the international drug trade!" Haven't seen them for a while.

White Men! White women! The swastika is calling you. The Jew is using the black as muscle against you. And you are left there helpless. Well, what are you going to do about it, whitey? Just sit there? Of course not. You, are going to join with us. The members of the American, Socialist, White peoples party. An organisation of decent, law abiding white folk. Just like you.
I pledge allegiance to Adolf Hitler.

Jake: [To a patrolling officer] Hey, what's going on?
Police Officer: Ah, those bums won their court case so they're marching today.
Jake: What bums?
Police Officer: The [deleted] Nazi party.
Elwood: Illinois Nazis!
Jake: I hate Illinois Nazis.

That famous Lib tolerance. These idiots think the real world is like a University, where you can shout down noncommunist speech and get away with it.
