I am afraid you are right about Brit leaving when his contract is up. On his show last week he made a joke saying, "Why I know I won't be in this business much longer." I thought that was very telling.
I like Brit, but I would be happy with Jim Angle or Brian Wilson taking over Special Report.

Ref Brit's comments on not being around much longer, I predicted a long time ago that the battle in the Murdoch Family and the leadership being taken away from the more conservative member to a more Liberal Member would seal their fate. I do not watch any Fox anymore except Special times,shows. I used to have it on all day long,but they have gone over the edge into darkness, and it started before Katrina made them look so bad especially Shep (crybaby sissy) Smith. The highlight for FNC was the Gulf War , and they went down hill from there. To paraphrase an old line it is not who votes that counts,but who counts the votes. Well in the News Business it is not the Reporters and Broadcasters that count, it is who pays their Salaries, and gives the orders to the Employees. It is obvious that Fox may have been fair and balanced at one point,but 70-30 is not balanced in my mind.
