I believe that he is entitled or allowed to one appeal (under Iraqi law), if he loses that appeal he must be executed within 30 days. I don’t know how long an appeal could take in Iraqi, but it could be a long time before he is put to death.

I do not think there is court appeal in Iraq, at least not in this case.
