I've been using the acronym DBM for awhile after hearing Rush get into it. I think it's original with him. Usually I try to provide a spelled out version the first time I use an acronym in each post. I forgot this time. sorry about that.
In the IT world where I work we are swimming in acronyms. A coworker and I exchanged three very confused emails before we realized that when I mentioned VM I was talking about "virtual machines" and when he mentioned it he was talking about "virus management."
Another coworker came up with a new term several years ago. What do you call an acronym made up from other acronyms? A concacronym (concatenated acronym).
Of course, in the IT world, we don't call them acronyms. We have an acronym for it. They are mostly TLAs (three letter acronyms). ;^>

The News Watch guys are NOT getting what the deal was on the Kerry story. They are missing it entirely.Wasn't that unbelievable? I wanted to reach through the screen and smack Eric Burns. He, I think, I could convince of the idiocy of his position. The Neal Gabler wanna be and Jane, on the other hand, have already drunk the Kool Aid. If we can show them this performance in a month I think that they'll die of shame.

The Neal Gabler wanna beEllis Hennican. One of two people Congressman BillyBob will not watch at all. There must be some directive that whatever liberal sits in that chair, they have to stab their arms and point at others in some kind of attack mode. I have nothing intelligent to say about him because he had nothing intelligent to say.

It definitely was OK. I was just commenting on the apparent motives (and total misunderstanding of reality) of the poster of the video. Not you.
Notice the sources I link to. Linking to a moonbat (if this is one, which is not proved) isn't a problem. Putting forward their arguments as your own is and you clearly didn't do that. You just let the VP speak for himself. They thought that was a bad thing. They are loons, but we knew that.

The "preview" part is here:Thank you for this post. One of the main reasons I post this thread is to get people to post things like this. I put up links that I find but I don't even pretend that the things I find are definitive or even always informative. I'm desperate for information like what you have provided. Absolutely perfect!
Now, if you can complete the circle and send these links to ABC News and ask them to include the disclaimers from these people in their coverage tomorrow, we will collectively accomplished something.
E-mail THIS WEEK
Thank you!

I did get a touch angry when he would pick apart Pres. Bush's speechesLOL. The good old days. I think I recall a number of us kind of jumping on him for that. If he could still talk with us, we would still do it. We are Freepers, hear us roar. LOL.

A disaster awaits us if they are right. They aren't right. I'm waiting on Wednesday morning. There will be 15 to 20 House seats "in contention" in the sense that the Dhimmicrats are filing lawsuits to overturn the results, but the obvious conclusion is that they failed to generate the wave that they've been promoting. Even if they pick up a few seats but fail to win the House they lose, but I am still convinced that they will actually lose seats in both the House and Senate, overall. Chafee is toast, but I think Kean (substitute RINO), Steele and others will pick up supposedly safe Dhimmicrat seats. I even hold out hope for Katherine Harris. Won't that frost the collective asses of the chattering class?

Your post is illustrative of what is going on. This race has been "talked down" by the dbm,dnc and every rat in hiding all over the country for months.
all the doom and gloom is based on the polls
Interesting comment and absolutely true. Problem is they offer nothing to take our place. Last I saw we are in deed in trouble only if significant numbers of the base stay home. Tomorrow I plan to post all I can to urge all our base not to stay home.

I've noticed that you do use a spelled out version the first time for which I, for one, am deeply grateful!!!
Trivia question: what's the first widely used acronym?
(I don't know the answer)
I would guess RSVP.
Of course, there is SNAFU from WWII which I was innocent enough for years to think meant, "situation normal, all fouled up."
The old man finally clued me into the awful truth!

Well I don't know, and really, nobody does. Maybe well lose on Tuesday, and then, maybe not.
I am hopeful we'll win. I believe most of the country sees through the DBM spin and efforts on behalf of the Dems. The Dems have no platform. Most people in the USA are common sense conservatives, believe in the civic duty of voting when polls are open, even if it's not fun and trendy, or the weather sucks, and I think this helps us immensely. Democrats are gonna come up short on Tuesday!!!
I'll be voting Republican on Tuesday. I've been confidently optimistic all year. Now I'm fired up! I'm raring to go!!!

Looks like CNN is trying to prove that they are more biased than BSMSNBC. Must be payback because of Lynn Cheney's slapdown of the Wolfman.

Have any of you seen the report by Steve Harrigan, with him getting waterboarded???Yes. There was also a video on YouTube a week or so ago doing the same "experiment". Harrigan is a gutsy guy. When the VP said he didn't have a problem with a terrorist getting dunked in the water, that was not a description of this technique which, btw, I have no problem with.

yea. I almost drowned once when I was a Boy Scout, not sure why he wanted to go through that.
Did you see the report that interrogations are now optional at Gitmo?

I doubt most people even know what waterboarding is. I don't myself. But in the minds of the Dims, it is now equivalent with beheading or the chopping off of various body parts.
It's scary to think of what their minds must be like.
