Ping to Founding Father's #121 above from Vcrisis.com.

In my post #88 I mentioned that the statements of Chavez, Ramirez, et al. regarding "revolutionary" fervor they felt was required of government employees was fueling a heated political exchange between Chavez and the opposition. Read the short article from Vcrisis.com Founding Father pasted in and see how contentious an issue this is in Venezuela right now.

I think Rosales is about to pick up "closing" momentum. This election may be truly competitive soon.

Oaxaca unrest takes spotlight in SR

snips:

Ortiz, a brown-eyed 20-year-old who moved to the United States with her family when she was 15, strongly supports the Oaxaca teachers, whose demands for higher wages have sparked a political uprising that threatens to topple Ruiz's government.

She and her fellow amateur thespians, who call themselves Mexico '68, are hoping to educate Sonoma County residents about the unrest in Oaxaca, which she says is not being fully reported by the media.

"The military in Mexico has been repressing the people for years, but the press is afraid of the government," she said.

The play kicked off an afternoon of politics, food, music and education organized by a group of Oaxacan natives now living in Sonoma County who call themselves CAMPPO, the committee in solidarity with the movement of the people of Oaxaca.
