If Republican control of all three branches of government couldn't even defund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the least useful pork in every budget, how is the transfer to the Dems of an almost equally split Congress going to make for drastic changes in society?
We lived for forty years with a Dem majority in Congress and went socialist at roughly the same degree as the current big government administration has taken us.
These Casssandras with their weeping and wailing have either no sense of history or think you don't. Shame on the fearmongers.

Yes, indeed, we lived with a democrat majority for 40 years. And they managed to wreck the intelligence community and the military as well as defund our South Vietnamese allies so the communists took over, resulting in millions dead.

We also got liberal Supreme Court justices, high taxes, and a bunch of other things I would just as soon not revisit.

But, you've convinced me.  I'm going to go vote for the Democrats.  Why not?  They're all the same.  And we don't have either King Ross or Der Fuhrer Pat to waste our votes on this time, so lets teach those evil Republicans a lesson and put Nancy and Dingy Harry in charge and let them set the agenda.
