Nice talking to you!
We need to keep posts like this one on top until Tuesday!! Keep the gloom over at DU.
"I really just cannot believe that the same repulicans who took the last election are not going to vote."
If they don't, they are forgetting two words that summarize the effect of recent Senate elections: Samuel Alito.
Lets hope they remember. All I have to do is remember lardbutt on his grilling of Alito . That is enough to get me to the polls Come rain or Come Shine.

Republican Surge In Senate?
***************Leadin************************
We seem to be seeing a late-breaking trend towards Republicans, according to Rasmussen. Their daily review of races show momentum shifting back towards the GOP in some key contests:...........see link for details......
Getting drunk at the "Armadillo" and eating at Taco Flats.... yep, yep, yep....
"What's better yet, is that they won't be able to escape their "wrongness".
Unless they blame Diebold for stealing their election..."
There is no doubt in my mind that they will blame Kerry for their loss.......which is just great. That means that they won't change their views or plans or tactics, and will lose again in 08!
See my link at #145!
Thanks! BUMP
Please read through because I'm not wearing my asbestos suit!
If pollsters call me or ask me:
Q: Are you a registered Republican
A: Yes
Q: How are you voting?
A: I'll pull the Democrat lever, straight.
Q: Why?
A: Because we need a change!
Why would I do that? Because the liberal polling industry has to be destroyed first before they become fair and truthful. Look at the organizations that are hiring them and look how these organizations are using the slanted answers for slanted questions.
IMO, what happened in the 2004 election with the exit polls was total manipulation by the RATS to suppress the Republican vote. I saw the withdrawn faces on FNC and Fred Barnes saying: I guess Iraq weighed heavier than we thought.
Imagine how sweet it is to have the pollsters saying RATS 80-20 and they end up losing. That will destroy their industry and we may start hearing some straight talk. I wouldn't hold my breath, however.
"There is no doubt in my mind that they will blame Kerry for their loss..."
I agree, if things go badly for them, Jean Francois will certainly get the blame. And he'll deserve some portion of it.
Kerry letting his slip show like that has to be worth 1 or 2 percent nation-wide. Hopefully it's enough...
Absolutely agree.
Whomever compiled those stats should be in rehab. My prediction: -5 in the House, and we hold the Senate.
They were certain in 2000 as well... IN fact, they were beyond stunned when they had to back off and came to realize they were indeed wrong.
I know polls keep showing huge democratic movement, but I'm telling you I'm just not seeing it. The major democratic argument against Rs at least in their ads around here is "So and So votes with President Busy 90 some od percent of the time".. that's their ad...
They are preaching to the converted not placing an argument for anyone to covert to them... Oh wow, a republican votes with their party more often than not??? Wow what a shocker... I just don't see that really motivating voters to your side that weren't already there long before the battle began.
I just am not seeing in my day to day activities and discussions any of this so called "movement" left... I seem the same old loudmouths, but I don't see folks flocking to them in a me too movement.
I believe the polls will once again be shown to be pretty significantly off in 2006.
My town committee has been making calls for two weeks for Nancy Johnson, our 12 term RINO Congresswoman who is in trouble.
When I was calling, it was common for me to hear that the person had been called once or twice before. One person was really nasty to me -- 'Oh we'll never vote Republican again.' 'May I ask why?' I asked. 'Because of that terrible George W. Bush.' Without missing a beat I said 'Oh. I didn't realize he was running this year.' The giggling of all of those around me probably made it sting a little more too.
Flags of Our Fathers is NOT a patriotic movie, unless you leave a third of the way through it!
Not one person that I know who voted in the last election if going to sit this one out. In fact my friends are even more motivated, thanks to the MSM telling them to stay home. The Kerry comments of last week sealed it all! Even a few who were/are not happy with the Repubs and the President have come out of their easy chairs roaring mad and determined to vote because of Kerry. I have already voted, I made my line as dark as possible, it was the only way to show my emotion and then only a machine sees it :^)
