Missteps or meltdowns? (Minnesota's DFL Hatch Nuts?)
St. Paul Pioneer Press ^ | 4 November 2006 | BILL SALISBURY and PATRICK SWEENEY

With two angry outbursts at reporters this week, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Hatch made his temper an issue in the closing days of the campaign.

In one of those exchanges, a newspaper chain reported that he called a male reporter a "Republican whore." He denied using that terminology.

Whether the controversy is just a one-day flap or the political "meltdown" gleefully proclaimed by a Republican leader depends on how Hatch handles bad news.

"When the heat and lights are on, his big challenge will be whether he keeps his composure," Carleton College political science professor Steven Schier said Friday....

Democrat candidates usually have an anger problem. If you doubtt this read the Daily Kos, DU, Moveon, NYT or the Strib.

Being angry seems to be their chief political attribute.

MDE EXCLUSIVE: HATCH USES CRIB SHEET ON RIGHT HAND DURING ALMANAC DEBATE
Minnesota Democrats Exposed ^ | November 3, 2006 | Michael B. Brodkorb

Posted on 11/04/2006 7:12:26 AM CST by maggief

A few minutes into tonight's debate on Almanac, my phone started ringing with calls from both Democrats and Republicans telling me it looked like Hatch had notes written on his right hand.

I don't know what the debate rules were, but I'll find out.

I'm not interested in girls like the one Mr. Hatch was talking to.

I'm saving myself for Anne Coulter.

But these same people are the ones who proclaim WE need anger management classes.

If we just stand back and listen - we'll see that the old standby - the "projection technique" is in full force.

The dems are so paranoid that we might continue to win they have set up a "war room" filled with lawyers ready to pounce on even the most trivel of infractions in voting. If they were so sure of a win .. they wouldn't need such a thing as a "war room".

Key quote from the article:

"Where's this guy coming from?" Hubbard asked, referring to Hatch. "He's nuts."

I love you Stanley! :)

I isolated the picture of Hatch's hand and with some sophisticated software can report what the words are.

It's five synonyms for the word Whore.

Is this getting much press? Because if it is, Hatch is DONE. I always expected him to lose, but this moves him from the unlikely column to the hopeless column.

It's fun having opponents who go nuts so easily.
