That's just an "additional duty", or pleasure, depending on the chief. One big job of Chiefs is to shepherd along wet behind the ears 2Lts. Unfortunately all we had was more senior officers, and Major makes a lousy Chief. :) I did have such a Chief in my first assignment as a reservist. I was attached to a part of SAC Hq, of which he was the Senior NCO. Learned alot in my short (1 1/2 years, part time) association with him.
Oh Man, that little girl looks so much like our great niece, who we have custody of. That girls hair is a little lighter, and her skin a tad darker, but the nose and eyes are very similar.
